Ravenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is one of Baltimore, Maryland’s finest nursing homes. The facility operated as Seton Hill Manor Nursing Home prior to 1996 when it was purchased by Ravenwood Healthcare, Inc., a non-profit corporation. Now known as Harborside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, we are one of the largest facilities in Maryland providing care to residents with complex care needs. The facility established the first special care unit in Maryland, and among the first in the United States dedicated to serving residents with HIV/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDs) and other communicable diseases and continues to provide such care today. Our healthcare center is centrally located within the historic and medical districts of Downtown Baltimore. We have 165 comprehensive care beds which are dually licensed for Medicare and Medicaid.
Today skilled nursing facilities do more than care for long term residents. We also help people recover from surgery, injury or serious illness. Our team of professionals understand the importance of creating a warm, comfortable place for all residents, whether they are here for short term treatment or long term care.
Harborside employs full time Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Geriatric Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners to serve as an extension to each resident’s physician and assist with closer monitoring. We also employ a Registered Dietician, Social Service Workers, and Activity Professionals to work in addressing all resident needs—both physical and emotional. A Medical Director and Infectious Disease Physician are also part of our multi-disciplinary team here at Harborside.
